The front will then settle bringing cooler and dry conditions – Listen for updates.

(NEWTON)  In state news – officials are saying they are making changes to Illinois’ newly designed license plates to make them easier to read.  Secretary of State Jesse White’s office has received complaints about the newly designed license plate.  The new design was rolled out in January of this year which features the Chicago skyline, a barn with a windmill, the Capitol and part of Abraham Lincoln’s face.  White says the old plates were becoming less reflective making them harder for the authorities to see.  The complaints have been about the plates being harder to see than the old plates.  White’s spokesman says future batches of new plates will have darker ink, among other changes.  The office will gradually send replacements for passenger vehicles at no extra cost.
