2024 HIGH SCHOOL CLAY TARGET LAEGUE NATION CHAMPIONSHIP THIS WEEKEND

(MICHIGAN) Athletes and teams representing 456 high schools from across the nation are up in Mason, Michigan this week, taking part in the 2024 USA High School Clay Target League National Championship. With check-in and practice days set for today & tomorrow, the team qualifying rounds are Friday and the individual qualifying rounds are on Saturday before all the championship rounds scheduled for Sunday. Among the 44 schools taking part from Illinois, there are student athletes from 10 area schools taking part, including those from Teutopolis, Dieterich, Altamont, Stewardson-Strasburg, Patoka, St. Elmo, South Central, Beecher City, Effingham, and Cumberland. Among the other states competing, there are 115 schools from Minnesota, 58 Wisconsin schools, 48 from Michigan, 42 from New York, 28 from Kansas, 18 from Pennsylvania, 17 from North Dakota, 16 from Ohio, 14 from Oregon, 10 from Kentucky, 10 from South Dakota, 9 from Indiana, 5 from Colorado, 4 from Missouri, 1 from Iowa, and 1 from Texas.
