(BLOOMINGTON) The second year of the Illinois Ag Retail Survey is underway now thru April to determine producer practices geared toward reducing nutrient loss as part of the state’s currently voluntary Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy (NLRS). At the recent 2024 Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association’s convention in Peoria, those in attendance were urged to take part if selected for the survey, developed in partnership with the Illinois Farm Bureau and others. The survey measures use of tillage and cover crops and tracked nitrogen and phosphorous fertilizer use and application methods throughout the state.
