(SPRINGFIELD) The 2024 Illinois spring trout fishing season starts this coming Saturday at 5:00 at 58 ponds, lakes, and streams throughout the state. With a daily harvest limit for each angler at five trout, a fishing license and trout stamp are required. There are 8 sites in the area counties of Wayne, Wabash, Jefferson, Marion, Coles, Clark, Christian, and Shelby.
