(SPRINGFIELD) The Illinois State Fair is continuing in Springfield as today is Agriculture Day on the fairgrounds. Although agriculture is featured throughout the fair’s run now thru Sunday, August th, agriculture is specifically highlighted on this Friday. While today kicks off all the various livestock shows, there will be more harness racing and on the grandstand stage tonight in Jake Owen with Jo Dee Messina. Tomorrow is Kids Day as children age 12 and under are admitted free, plus there will be various activities and programming for kids along with more harness racing, the Wooten Rodeo, and on stage tomorrow night is The Black Crows with the group Southall. Sunday will be Veterans Day & Gold Star Families Day where Veterans and their immediate families are admitted free, plus a Veterans Parade, discounted ride passed for families of military Veterans, and more. Also a draft horse show, more livestock shows, and on stage Sunday night, Megan Moroney with Hunter Flynn and Kameron Marlowe. Monday is Senior Citizens & Scout Day with fair visitors 60 and older admitted free with special senior activities, tractor & truck pulls, and more. Plus each day of the fair, there are many outdoor activities at Conservation World, along with other live musical entertainment, carnival rides, and all the great fair food concessions throughout the fairgrounds.
