(CLAY CITY) The Clay City Banking Company is among several downstate businesses that is warning it’s customers about a text scam that fraudulently shows it is from the Bank. In the text message, a link is provided for customers to click on to and give additional personal information, however this IS A SCAM. Whether a customer of a bank or any other business, folks should NOT click on a link in a text from an unknown source, no matter how original the text appears to be. Folks should delete the text and contact the bank and/or business directly.
