(NEWTON/OLNEY) The list continues to grow of downstate counties and communities that have issued “Burn Bans” due to the extremely dry ground and weather conditions. Most all of the bans prohibit all open-air burning, including those with trash barrels & fires dealing with yard debris & landscape, and/or brush piles. Residents should contact their respective fire departments, fire protection districts, and authorities for possible “burn ban” details.
