(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met last night in regular session. The Council : approved the payment of all bills as presented, including various payments for the Main Street Storm Sewer work and the Sanitary Sewer Relining Project : approved the sale of 5.06 acres just west of Illinois Gas to Ed Lewis Trucking : on a 3 to 2 vote, approved the transfer of a Class V Liquor License to a new owner : on a 3 to 2 vote will submit an advisory, non-binding public question on the March 2026 primary ballot regarding adult-use cannabis dispensaries : approved material bids for the Eastgate Subdivision Drainage project : accepted the quote for a 2024 Ford Explorer Police AWD for the Olney Police Department : approved a raffle license request : tabled a resolution to amend the tourism budget for Little League / Ball Park improvements : approved a Municipal Contributions & Sponsorships application and program : and approved an ordinance to amend a Crop Share Farm Lease agreement : the next regular meeting for the Olney City Council will be held the second week of October.
