ILLINOIS WEEKLY CROP PROGRESS REPORT

(SPRINGFIELD) In yesterday’s USDA Illinois Crop Progress Report, there was an average of just over 6 full days of field work around the state as the 2025 fall harvest made progress. As of Sunday, corn in the dent stage was at 96% (compared to the 93% 5-year average), mature corn hit 69% (compared to 63% 5-year average) and corn harvest around the state was at 12% (compared to 9% 5-year average). Soybeans dropping leaves were at 77% (compared to the 61% 5-year average) and soybeans harvested in Illinois hit 9% (compared to the 5% 5-year average). Both crops remain mostly in good to excellent condition, 56% for corn and 52% for soybeans. The state’s winter wheat planting was at 6% (compared to the 3% 5-year average).
