(NEWTON) The Newton and Jasper County investigation is continuing into the seizure of over 7.5 pounds of methamphetamine this past Friday. The Newton Police Department was assisted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department and the Jasper County State’s Attorney’s Office. Two individuals, who are innocent until proven guilty in court, were arrested and are in custody. As the investigation continues, no other details are available at this time.
