THURSDAY RESULTS (10/2/25)

(ROBINSON) in Girls High School Cross Country yesterday –
Newton finished in third place among 23 teams at the Robinson Invitational
Shelbyville beat out Tolono Unity to win the meet
Mattoon and Father McGivney rounded out the top five
then Effingham, Fairfield, Robinson, Dieterich, & Teutopolis in the top ten
with 114 total runners, Newton’s Layna Marshall finished in 4th place overall
teammates Heather Bergbower was 7th, Avery Geier was 21st, Nora Street was 29th
Unity’s Mackenzie Pound won the race while Marshall’s Grace Thompson was 3rd
Dieterich’s Lena Goebel finished in 6th place
the Lady Eagles are scheduled to run tomorrow at Terre Haute

Cumberland beat out second place Paris to win the race
Mattoon and Father McGivney rounded out the top five
after the Eagles, it was Cowden-Herrick, Dieterich, Lawrenceville, & Effingham
then Robinson, St. Anthony, Shelbyville, Casey-Westfield, and Altamont
with 166 total runners, Newton was led by Tanner Whitaker in 19th place
teammates Hayden Borgic was 32nd, Johnnie Brant was 43rd, Holden Barthlemy was 44th
Dieterich’s Trevor Cruther won the race ahead of second place Harrison Hays of Paris
the Eagles are scheduled to run tomorrow at Terre Haute
