REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

(OLNEY/NEWTON) Our dry weather will continue today as a weak cold front in the Upper Midwest slowly moves southward. As that frontal system stalls out over central Illinois tomorrow, we’ll have a few clouds in our forecast later this week, but no rain until the weekend. That’s when that cold front will eventually move through our downstate area by Saturday afternoon and into Sunday. While a half inch of rain is expected south of the I-70 corridor, some severe weather is slightly possible until we dry out by Monday. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more forecast details.
