(OLNEY) Another reminder that the Hunters Feeding Illinois program is returning for its fourth season this year with the goal to connect hunters with meat processors and food pantries to help provide residents and families in need with high protein meat. Hunters in Richland, Lawrence, Edwards, Wabash, and Wayne Counties can now donate harvested deer at no cost to a partnering meat processors. The fresh ground venison will then be delivered to five local food pantries, including The Master’s Hands, The Giving Hope Food Pantry, and The Good Samaritan of Richland County all in Olney, plus The Sign of the Kingdom in Sumner and the Circle A Servolution in Allendale. Folks can donate money to help in the meat processing effort, as a $50 donation will be matched by Feeding Illinois, to process one deer.
