(OLNEY/NEWTON) With the Chicagoland area getting multiple inches of snow from a major late fall storm, a Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for areas to our north, in Edgar, Champaign, and Vermilion Counties, at least until mid-morning, as two to four inches of snow are expected there. The light snow will extend down through Robinson and Lawrence, but pretty much stay east of that line. In our downstate area today, we’re expecting some light snow or flurries, but ending by afternoon, we’ll have some sunshine before sunset. The colder than normal air on a strong northwesterly wind will give us wind chill values in teens today, but a warming trend tomorrow thru Friday will give us temperatures in the 60’s by the end of the work week. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
