(OLNEY) The City of Olney’s leaf collection program is expected to begin next week, on Monday, with the leaf pick up machines driving through the City to pick up loose leaf piles. Citizens are requested to place their leaves as close to the roadway as possible, but not in ditches and not in roadways. If bagging leaves, citizens can place the bags near the street and call the Olney City Hall when the bags are ready for pick up. The bagged leaf pick up requests are the only ones to be called into City Hall. The City’s Brush Dump is open to the public to drop off leaves and all other landscape waste. The facility on West Mack Avenue is open on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 4:00 each day.
