(OLNEY) The Richland County Board met for its regular monthly meeting last night in Olney. The Board : approved the payment of all claims for October – $735,654 for non-county claims and $113,996 for county general claims : approved the 2026 Tax Levy with a 4.97% increase : approved the $75,000 expenditure for RSCO funding : reviewed, updated, and amended the Board’s SRO contract with the Richland County School District to add a third School Resource Officer with the District paying 100% of the new SRO’s salary : approved the $59,650 bid from Ambraw Asphalt for the spreading of shoulder stone along each side of the Ste. Marie Road : approved the $25,000 of Public Safety Funds for a Noble Wakefield Fire Department vehicle : approved a culvert aid petition for Preston Township : approved a change order decrease of $51,275 for the EJ Water Phase #82 Project : approved the $88,445 pay estimate for the EJ Water Phase #82 Project : agreed to appoint Pat Burke to the 708 Mental Health Committee : approved the Cyber Security Insurance renewal from Blank’s Insurance : agreed to exit the contract for using the Mack Avenue Animal Control Building : set a public hearing for 6:00 on Tuesday night, November 25th, to review and/or changes any zoning related to Retail Cannabis establishments in unincorporated county areas, to be followed by a 7:00 special meeting that same night for last minute budget action, if needed : then adjourned after no action in a closed session to discuss real estate, negotiations, and personnel : next regular meeting for the Richland County Board is December 11th, 2025.
