(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the frontal system that moved across our downstate area overnight, the regional rainfall amounts averaged between a half inch and a full inch of rain. Now the National Weather Service has a Wind Advisory in effect for our entire listening area from now through tonight, with gusts of 40 to 50 miles-per-hour possible. Plus, colder air is in the forecast today through the holiday weekend and into next week. After a dry and windy sky today & tomorrow, we’ll have some sunshine Friday and our next chance of precipitation moves in early Saturday morning with light snow and rain possible through early Sunday morning, followed by dry and cold conditions into next week. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and forecast details for the coming days and nights.
