(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met last night in regular session. The Council : approved the payment of all bills as presented : accepted the quote to replace tasers and other equipment for the Olney Police Department through the use of a $21,000 grant : agreed to spend up to $1,000, along with City manpower for needed repair work at the Firing Range & Facility – the local Gun Club already has spent $5,000 for repair work : amended the City Budget to add $5,000 for the purchase of Granular Activated Carbon Replacement for the Water Plant : discussed and agreed to add options to the Main Street Resurfacing Project base bid and/or scope of work : held an executive session to discuss real property and personnel : then approved a Commodity Master Agreement for Non-Residential Electric Supply for the City of Olney : the Council then agreed to adjourn the meeting : the next regular meeting for the Olney City Council will be January 12th, 2026.
