COMMUNITY REMINDERS FOR THE DAYS AHEAD

(OLNEY/NEWTON/NOBLE) A reminder that most all city and village halls will be closed both tomorrow and Thursday, December 24th and 25th, for the observance of the Christmas holiday. Plus a note that most all trash collections will be held this coming Friday, on December 26th.

(NOBLE) Speaking of garbage, the Village of Noble is reminding all residents that the trash collection in Noble will be occur as normal both tomorrow and next Wednesday as well. So, there will be garbage pick up the next two Wednesdays throughout the Village of Noble.

(OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW is this Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with tickets on sale up until draw time. The jackpot is again, over $10,000 for this upcoming weekend. Open to the public, all are invited to help out in raising funds to support the VFW Post Home on North Walnut Street and its work with local Veterans and their families.

(OLNEY) The Good Samaritan of Richland County has announced that its food pantry will only be open on the next two Wednesdays for both this week and next. So for food pantry needs, the Good Samaritan in downtown Olney is open tomorrow and a week from tomorrow only.

(OLNEY) Don’t forget to visit the Christmas Lights Display in the Olney City Park, lit up each night at dusk through New Year’s Eve. All can express their thanks to the Bucket Brigade which is set up at the end of the Lights Display.

(NEWTON) All are urged to visit the Christmas Lights Display in Newton’s Peterson Park, which is open for public viewing each night from 5:00 to 10:00 through January 4th, 2026.
