(NEWTON/OLNEY) It’s officially Girl Scout Cookie season throughout southern Illinois as local and area Girl Scouts are now taking orders by door-to-door visits, at cookie booths, or online. While learning important life skills, the Girl Scouts fundraising effort provides money for local and area girls to use for service projects, troop travel, summer camps, and much more. This year, a new cookie, Exploremores, a rocky road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookie, will join the legendary lineup for the 2026 Girl Scout cookie season. The Girl Scout cookie sales will run through March 15th.
