(OLNEY) Richland County is set to receive a significant amount of grant money for local drug court cases. The Southern Illinois University School of Medicine has awarded $45,000 to courts in six counties with the federal funds to enhance existing programs in those court systems. Along with Richland County, the other recipients include courts in the counties of Clinton, Hancock, Jackson, Montgomery, and Whiteside. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is funding the initiative thru an opioid response grant to the State Department of Human Services.
