(INA, ILLINOIS) The annual Winter Wheat Double Crop Forum, hosted by the Illinois Wheat Association (IWA), at Rend Lake College last week, offered opportunities for farmers to learn about research, new developments in the industry, and share ideas to help grow more successful crops. A panel of producers from different areas of Illinois discussed production practices and fielded questions from those attending about topics, like the current drought & increasing yields. New Wheat Association leadership was elected with Trace Heuerman of Effingham County to serve as president with vice-president John Ernst of Madison County, secretary Nick Frederking of Washington County, and treasurer Nick Pingsterhaus of Clinton County. Newly elected to the board were Darren Lewis of Clay County and Hayden Byars of Wayne County.
