(EAST PEORIA) Attendees of the 2026 Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leaders Conference this past weekend up in East Peoria met to gather new ideas and much more, all to help meet future challenges in agriculture. More than 450 people attended the two day event which featured an updated format aimed at catering to a broad scope of young leaders and their interests. There were various breakout sessions that featured ag-adjacent businesses, including several from downstate Illinois, such as those in Edwards and Wabash Counties. The guest speaker said there’s money to be made in agriculture, but it may not be how prior family members did it, such as parents and grandparents.
