(SPRINGFIELD) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says Illinois is one of seven states where a drug-resistant form of salmonella has been linked to Rosabella brand moringa powder capsules. CDC officials say Ambrosia Brands LLC agreed to recall the pills sold in white plastic bottles with a green label, with 52 lot codes and expiration dates in 2027. The CDC says the capsules should be thrown away or returned to where they were bought.

(CHICAGO) Hyatt Hotels Board Chairman Thomas Pritzker has abruptly retired. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker’s cousin expressed his regret for associating with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, following the release of several emails between the two men. Thomas Pritzker began his Hyatt Hotel executive responsibilities in 1980 and had been Executive Chairman since 2024.

(SPRINGFIELD) Governor J.B. Pritzker has announced that more than 500,000 Illinois residents have had their medical debts erased by state government. According to the Governor’s office, each state taxpayer dollar spent leads to more than $100 in medical debt erased. The state’s medical debt relief program has relieved a total of $1.1 billion for those fortunate to get help.

(SPRINGFIELD) The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association has launched the 2026 Makers Madness contest for voters to choose “The Coolest Thing Made in Illinois.” Nominations will be accepted online through March 8th at makersmadnessil.com for any product manufactured in Illinois and voting to narrow the field to the Top 16 products will begin March 10th. The bracket-style contest culminates with an awards ceremony in Springfield on April 15th.
