(OLNEY) in Boys High School Basketball last night –
in Class 2A Regional first round action at Effingham High School
Olney avenged an earlier loss last month and beat the host Flaming Hearts, 44-39
after trailing nearly the entire first half, the Tigers came away with the victory
led by Cooper Hires and Carsyn Ameter with 13 and 12 points respectively
Reid Brown and Reed Klingler combined for 12 points and 11 rebounds
the Tigers now advance to play Fairfield in a Regional Semi-Final game tomorrow night
the 7:30 game will be the second to be played at Vandalia High School
the first semi-final at 6:00 has St. Anthony against Vandalia

the Eagles beat Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville, 55-38
Newton was led by Kody Bergbower with 26 points and Hayden Mulvey with 8 points
Drake Wolf pulled down 12 rebounds and had 8 points
Newton now advances to play Salem in Semi-Final action tomorrow night
the 7:30 game will be played at Robinson High School
the first semi-final game at 6:00 has Teutopolis against Mt. Carmel
