(VINCENNES) Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ed Ballinger family in Vincennes this week. Ed, at the age of 65, passed away last Wednesday, after spending over 37 years in radio broadcasting. Ed had worked at WZDM and WAOV radios in Vincennes since the mid-to-late 1990’s, but prior to that was the Program Director and Sports Director here at WVLN-WSEI radios. The 1984 Vincennes University graduate will best be remembered for his calm and clear voice, whether reading sports or broadcasting a sporting event. Ed is survived by his wife, Jill, two children, a granddaughter, a sister, and his parents. Funeral services for Ed are under the direction of the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes and are later this week. Our salute to a former worker, broadcaster, and a good man, Ed Ballinger, gone from us way too soon.
