(OLNEY) The Richland County School Board of Education met in special session for just over one hour last night in Olney. The Board : agreed to expel a student for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year and the 2026-2027 school year – the student will be referred to an alternative school and the student may return on Principal’s Probation the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year if the student completes 20 hours of approved counseling, passes the hair follicle drug test, and follows all rules while attending the alternative school : agreed to terminate the employment of a Richland County School District support staff member effective immediately : the next regular monthly meeting for the Richland County School Board will be March 19th.
