REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK / RECORD HIGH

(OLNEY/NEWTON) With another dry and warm day on tap for this Monday, an approaching storm system will bring us near record warmth and potential severe weather conditions tomorrow through tomorrow night, followed by more rain chances Wednesday through Wednesday night. Then some cooler air returns to our downstate area on Thursday with some sunshine and dry weather conditions through the upcoming weekend. (OLNEY) At the WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service official weather station for Olney and Richland County, a new record high temperature was recorded for this past Friday, March 6th, when our high temperature that day of 78 degrees broke the previous record high of 74 degrees, which was originally set 116 years ago on March 6th, 1910. Also noted is the rain that has fallen at the WVLN-WSEI weather station at the south edge of Olney, with rain recorded during each of the first seven days in March, totaling three inches and four tenths (3.40).
