(OLNEY) The Richland County Board had its regular monthly meeting for March last night in Olney. The Board : approved the financial report & the payment of bills for February – $170,175 in non-county claims and $268,947 in county general claims : approved the low bids as presented for the county’s oil and rock purchases : approved the IDOT agreement for the Ste. Marie Road asphalt shoulder construction project : approved an agreement for the additional use of 100,000 gallons of road oil on County Roads this summer : approved the design, engineering, and boring agreements with Charleston Engineering for three bridge replacement projects to be completed within the next several years : heard various updates from the Board’s IT Committee : noted a $7,500 grant to the State’s Attorney’s Office from the SIU School of Medicine for drug court & rehabilitation services : approved the annual $5,000 contribution to the RCDC (Richland County Development Corporation) : reviewed and approved various department reports : and took no action, other than to adjourn, after a closed session to discuss real estate, negotiations, and personnel : the next regular monthly meeting for the Richland County Board is April 9th.
