ILLINOIS STATE FAIRGROUNDS BUSY THIS SPRING

(SPRINGFIELD) With the Illinois Products Expo a huge success earlier this month on the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, the event drew some 7,600 attendees, up 900 from last year, as over 100 Illinois-based food and product vendors were on hand. State ag officials say it’s just the beginning for activities to be hosted by the renovated buildings on the Fairgrounds. This weekend is the Illinois Quilt Show with the Spring Lawn & Garden Show the following Saturday & Sunday. Then in April, it’s the IHSA State Rodeo, the Midwest Toy & Comic Fest, and the Fossil & Rock Show, followed by the Illinois Native Plant Sale and Illinois Products Farmers Market all getting underway in May.
