(NEWTON) The City of Newton has a planned water outage scheduled for this Thursday morning, starting at 9:00, and continuing until the maintenance work is finished later in the day. The area in Newton affected today includes East Reynolds Street, from the Highway to Absher. Once the water is restored, this same area will be under a boil water order until further notice. The patience of those affected by this water outage is appreciated by the City of Newton.
(OLNEY) The City of Olney Water Department is continuing to use free chlorine in the city’s water distribution system, all a part of the city’s water maintenance program. Beginning this coming Monday morning, at 7:00, the Water Department will be flushing select fire hydrants throughout the city. It’s at that time that residents may experience low water pressure and/or water discoloration while the flushing is being done in their part of the city. The City of Olney appreciates the patience of all water customers during this time of maintenance work.
