(NOBLE/NEWTON/OLNEY) With the holiday weekend approaching, a reminder that most all city and village halls will be closed tomorrow in observance of Good Friday. While the Noble Village Hall will close at 12 noon tomorrow, both City Halls in Olney and Newton, along with many others, will be closed all day tomorrow, on Friday. All of the area village and city halls will then reopen with regular office hours next Monday. Also a note to the residents of Olney, the City’s Brush Dump will also be closed tomorrow, but open the following day, Saturday, from 10:00 to 4:00. As far as the area trash collection goes, the regional garbage collection will run as normal today, tomorrow, Saturday, and all of next as normal with no delay.
(OLNEY) It’s been announced that the Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for this Saturday, April 4th, starting at 11:00, in the Olney City Park, plus following at 2:00 in the afternoon, will be the Egg-Septional Egg-Stravaganza for Special Needs Children & Individuals. In the event of rain on Saturday, both events will be moved to the following day, on Sunday afternoon, with the Easter Egg Hunt at 1:00 and the Special Needs event at 3:30. (OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW Post is this coming Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with the $1.00 tickets on sale all this week and always open to the public. (CLAREMONT) The Claremont-Bonpas Fire Protection District will have its final Friday of fish fries at the Claremont Fire Station this weekend, with all proceeds to go towards rescue equipment for the firemen. With a great menu of fish, popcorn chicken and much more, the serving on Friday will include lunch from 11:00 to 1:30, all-you-can-eat and the Friday evening dinner will be served from 4:00 to 7:00.
