(NEWTON) The City of Newton has announced a planned water outage scheduled for 9:00 this Monday morning to affect the following areas within Newton :
- South First Avenue, from Decatur to Reynolds
- Harris Street, from First to Reynolds
Once the water service is restored to these areas, the customers will be under a boil water order until further notice. The City of Newton appreciates the patience of those in this area today.

(OLNEY) The City of Olney Water Department is underway with its water hydrant flushing this morning, which will continue throughout the city on this Monday, which at times could result in low water pressure and maybe some discoloration in area’s of town where the hydrant flushing is taking place.. It’s all part of the city’s water maintenance program, which at a later date, will be switching from the current use of free chlorine back to the normal use of combined chlorine. The City of Olney appreciates the patience of all water customers during this time of work.
