Newton beat Shelbyville, 7-5

although the Eagles were outhit by the host Rams, 8 to 6

Carson Barthelme was the winning pitcher, striking out 6 in 5 innings of work

Drake Wolf led doubled and singled with 2 walks, 2 stolen bases, 3 RBI, and 1 run scored

Reed Tharp had an RBI hit

David Ferguson walked twice with a sacrifice fly, an RBI, and 2 runs scored

Quincy Fulton doubled with 2 walks, 3 stolen bases, and 3 runs scored

also hits by Dominic Baltzell and Carson Barthelme

the (11-1) Eagles are scheduled to host West Vigo, Indiana on Friday

Olney lost to Teutopolis, 12-2

the Tigers were outhit by the host Wooden Shoes, 9 to 6

Cooper Hires led Olney at the plate with the Tiger’s only RBI hit

Garrick Mills had 2 hits for Olney while Gavin Root had a double

plus other hits by Nolan Seals and Drew Mosbey

Carson Fox was hit by a pitch with a stolen base and a run scored

Keagan Puckett walked and scored as well

the (5-7) Tigers are scheduled to host Edwards County at OCC on Friday
