(OLNEY) The Olney City Council had a special meeting yesterday afternoon at the Olney City Hall. The Council : meeting for less than an hour, mostly in closed session to discuss real property, returned to open session and approved an ordinance to sell the city-owned property at 1440 North Silver Street to Mackenzie Michels, who has plans to reopen the once veterinary clinic sometime later this year, likely in August – City officials see this as fantastic news with the veterinary clinic and animal services returning to Olney and Richland County in 2026 : no other action was taken, other than to adjourn : the Olney City Council’s next regular meeting will be May 11th, 2026.
