(FAIRFIELD) in Boys High School Track from this past Monday –
there were 15 teams at the varsity Rick Book Invitational at Fairfield
Flora won the event by beating out the second place Mules, 100 to 98
Newton was third at 58, followed by Mt. Carmel at 54 and Christopher at 50
then Robinson (40), Johnston City (32), Hamilton County (31.5), and Carmi (25)
a limited Olney Tiger squad finished in tenth place with 21.5 points
then Webber (19), Red Hill (17), Lawrenceville (17), Pope County (2), and Cisne (1)
the third place Eagles won 3 of the 18 events with six other top five finishes
Brock Anderson, Matthew Haskett, Hayden Mulvey, & Henry Will won the 800 meter relay
Matthew Haskett, Tanner Whitaker, Hayden Borgic, & Henry Will won the 1600 meter relay
Tanner Whitaker, Johnnie Brant, Parker Harris, & Daniel Falcioni won the 3200 meter relay
Parker Harris was 2nd in the 400 meter dash
Evan Holder was 3rd in the pole vault
Hayden Borgic was 4th in the 300 meter hurdles
Dylan Earnest was 5th in the 400 meter dash
Johnnie Brant was 5th in the 800 meter run
Brayan Ramos was 5th in the long jump
the Olney Tigers won 1 of the 18 events and had four other top five finishes
Maverik Cordell won the pole vault
Austin Kuenstler was 4th in the 800 meter run
Nathaniel Zwilling was 4th in the 3200 meter run
Guillermo Tartalo was 5th in the 200 meter dash
Kellan Feddes was 5th in the pole vault
both Newton & Olney are scheduled for the St. Theresa Invitational in Decatur this Friday
