Newton split two games at home against Altamont
- The Eagles won the varsity game, 56-46
Led by Parker Wolf with 16 points and Kye Bergbower with 12 points, Jacob Weber added 10 points for Newton.
The varsity squad improves to 5-1 on the year, still at 1-0 in the LIC
- Altamont won the junior varsity game, 43-35
Newton is back in action Friday night at Louisville against North Clay/Clay City.

Olney dropped two games on the road up at Mt. Zion
- The Tigers lost the varsity game, 57-29
For Olney – Ian Winkler and Rex Hallam each had 9 points, Freshman Reid Brown added 7 fourth quarter points.
The varsity squad is now 6-1, still at 1-0 in the LIC
- Mt. Zion also won the junior varsity game, 50-40
The Tigers are back at home to host Mattoon Saturday night, it will be junior varsity action at 5:00 and the varsity game at around 6:30.
