At the LIC Conference Tournament at Lawrenceville in the final consolation bracket games,
- Marshall beat Lawrenceville in the 7th place game, 45-34
- Newton beat Casey-Westfield for the consolation championship, 46-19
- The Lady Eagles were led by Camryn Martin with 17 points
- Lilly Kessler added 8 points and 8 rebounds
Newton, now at 14-10, are back in LIC action Monday night at Marshall.
The final championship round games are tonight at the LIC Tournament,
- Olney plays Paris for third place at 6:00
- Robinson plays Mt. Carmel for the championship at 7:30

- Effingham beat Salem, 61-39
At the West Frankfort Tournament,
- Herrin beat Webber, 79-27
