(OLNEY/NEWTON) It will be a dry and cool day on tap for this Wednesday here in our downstate area, however the dry part of the forecast will change as move closer to the weekend. After what could be another dry day tomorrow, a prolonged period of unsettled weather is expected in the forecast for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Helene could drop anywhere from one to three inches of rain in downstate Illinois by the first of next week.
