(OLNEY) Richland County authorities are looking for an escapee who yesterday had a court ordered visit scheduled at the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, but after arriving in the Office’s parking lot and cutting his ankle monitor off, Nathan Ellison escaped. The prisoner was ordered to report to the Sheriff’s Office to be transported to the Illinois Department of Corrections for a conviction of failure to register as a sex offender, but due to the state’s newly issued “no cash bail” Safety Act, Ellison was released on electronic home monitoring, rather than being held after his conviction.
