Newton and Olney faced off at Ron Herrin Gym at Richland County High School in Olney last night, splitting the two games:
Varsity:
- Newton won the varsity game, 50-10.
- The Lady Eagles were led by Camryn Martin with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
- Karasyn Martin and Addy O’Dell each contributed 12 points.
- Olney was led by Leah Gibson and Kaiya Sessengood, each scoring 5 points.
Junior Varsity:
- The Lady Tigers won the junior varsity game, 38-31.
Both teams will be in action tomorrow at the Girls LIC Tournament in Olney:
- Olney plays Robinson at 2:30 PM.
- Newton plays Marshall at 5:30 PM.
Other quarter-final matchups for tomorrow:
- Lawrenceville vs. Mt. Carmel at 1:00 PM.
- Casey-Westfield vs. Paris at 4:00 PM.
The tournament will continue through most of next week in Olney.
