(BLOOMINGTON) The USDA Animal & Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) is again sponsoring the African Swine Fever (ASF) “I Protect Pigs” photo contest with entries now being accepted. While prevention is the only cure for ASF, the photo contest promotes the importance of good biosecurity behaviors as pictures can be submitted showing owner/pig safety practices in action. The deadline to submit photos is midnight on February 14th with winners to be announced during the week of March 3rd, in celebration of National Pig Day on March 1st. The key to a winning photo is capturing how to help protect farms and pigs from ASF. For more details about the contest and to enter, logon at IProtectPigs.com.
