RICHLAND COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD EMPLOYS NEXT ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

(OLNEY) It was last Thursday night, that the Richland County School Board took action to employ Mrs. Monica Grove as the next assistant principal at Richland County High School in Olney. As current assistant principal Rylan Rusk moves into his new administrative position within the School District, Mrs. Grove will officially assume her new duties at RCHS on July 1st, 2025. Mrs. Grove began her career in education as a Title I Reading Aide at Richland County Elementary School in 2005, followed by a move to the Chatham County Public Schools in Savannah, Georgia where she taught second & fourth grades for three years. Relocating to Olney in 2010, Mrs. Grove served RCES again as a reading aide, followed by teaching positions at Clay City, Olney Central College, and Flora before returning to the Richland County Elementary School in Olney as a fifth grade teacher in 2023. Mrs. Grove has 21 years experience in education with 14 of those years including classroom teaching.
