City of Olney – Bulk Trash Drop-Off Event
Date: Saturday, May 10
Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (or until dumpsters are full)
Location: Municipal Parking Lot, 217 N. Fair Street (just east of the Eagles Lodge)
The City of Olney is hosting a free Bulk Trash Drop-Off Event for residents to dispose of eligible residential bulk items. Multiple dumpsters will be available on-site.
Accepted Items:
- Furniture, large toys, grills, and metal items
- Small or metal appliances and household goods (no CFCs)
- Mattresses and box springs (must be wrapped in plastic and sealed)
- Carpet (must be cut into 4-foot sections)
- Tires (limit of 4 per household — light truck, passenger car, or motorcycle only)
Not Accepted:
- Electronics, batteries, liquids, light bulbs, flammable or hazardous materials
- Construction materials (e.g., insulation, drywall, concrete, shingles)
- Landscape waste (e.g., leaves, limbs, brush — use the City’s Brush Dump instead)
This is a residential-only event and is free for Olney residents.
