RICHLAND COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD MAY 2025 MEETING RECAP

The Board met for its regular monthly session and took the following actions:

Financial & Administrative Actions

  • Approved April financial report, with bills totaling $1,140,498
  • Approved the Tentative Amended FY25 Budget
  • Approved the RCHS 10-Year Health Life Safety Survey
  • Adopted revisions to 2025-2026 Student Handbooks for all district schools
  • Approved contract with Raptor Technologies for security upgrades:
    • $54,095 for one-year implementation
    • $25,000 recurring annual cost
  • Approved a 3-year district-wide phone service contract with Wabash Communications:
    • $48,566 for installation & equipment
    • $1,877/month recurring fee

Student & Curriculum

  • Heard update on Dual Credit Courses at RCHS
  • Approved the expulsion of a student for the rest of 2024-25 and all of 2025-26 school years, with referral to RiseUp Alternative School
