(OLNEY) Olney Central College student-athletes excelled in the classroom during the 2024-2025 academic year, achieving impressive results that earned national recognition. In fact, all four athletic programs at OCC were noted as NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year, with each having players recognized as NJCAA Academic All-Americans. There were 22 individual Academic All-Americans at OCC, which is roughly 30% of all athletes at the IECC school. All four OCC teams earned GPA’s above the 3.0 benchmark, which reflects a strong culture of academic excellence. While the OCC Women’s Softball team led the way with the college’s top team GPA at 3.65, Men’s Basketball was next at 3.46, then Women’s Basketball at 3.27, and Baseball at 3.17. Athletic Director Nick Short says its a credit to the combined effort of student-athletes, coaches, and campus support staff for the OCC classroom success.
