(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is warning the public to avoid consuming certain Great Value raw frozen shrimp sold at Walmart. While the FDA says no contaminated shrimp has entered the U.S. food supply, the agency was alerted by the U.S. Customs & Border Protection that some frozen shrimp shipped from Indonesia had been possibly contaminated by a radioactive isotope from the shipping containers. The affected products are Great Value brand frozen raw shrimp with various lot codes and all with a Best By Date of March 15th, 2027. Go to the fda.gov website for more information.
