(BIBLE GROVE) It’s family fun, music, and entertainment this coming Sunday afternoon at Gym Bob’s Jamboree Show in Bible Grove, in northern Clay County. With the doors opening at 12:00 noon, all shows begin at 1:00, hosted by Mike Porter, Marsha Banning, and the Gym Bob’s Jamboree Band, plus this month features Bryor Rhodes of Beecher City. (OLNEY) All are invited to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, south of Olney, as it celebrates its 175th anniversary this weekend. It all starts Sunday morning at 9:00 with the morning worship, followed by a time of fellowship. Then an Open House Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:30. That’s four miles south of Olney and back west off of Illinois Route 130. All are invited to help the Ebenezer Church celebrate its 175-year anniversary this Sunday.
(OLNEY) The Antioch Christian Church, west and back south of Olney, along Higginswitch Road, will host Big Mo in concert this Sunday morning at 10:00. All are encouraged to stop in to hear the latest from the award winning singer and contemporary christian musician.
(DIETERICH) The St. Paul Lutheran Church, along the blacktop, north of Dieterich and south of Montrose, has its Corn Maze with Scavenger Hunt and more open this weekend, from 6:00 to 10:00 Friday night, from 11:00 to 10:00 Saturday, and from 11:00 to 5:00 Sunday. Admission is $5.00 per person, free for children ages 5 and younger, and bring a flashlight for the evening hour visits. Also free train rides and games for the children, & concessions for sale. This weekend the ODM will take place on Main Street, from Whittle Avenue to Fair Street, for a special Touchdowns & Tailgates event with Gratitude & Grace. (OLNEY) The Calvary Baptist Church will be selling pork burgers at the Big R Store this Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00. It’s the church’s final pork burger sale of the year. All invited.
(OLNEY) The City of Olney’s 47th Annual Squirrel Count begins this coming Saturday morning and continues the following two consecutive Saturdays. Volunteers are needed, whether they can help on one, two, or all three Saturdays. Contact City Hall if questions.
(SAILOR SPRINGS) The Clay City/Sailor Springs American Legion has another first Saturday of the month breakfast this weekend with serving from 7:00 to 10:00 with all-you-can-eat biscuits, gravy, sausage, pancakes, and drinks, all for a donation at the door this Saturday morning in Sailor Springs, just off the Clay City/Dieterich Blacktop. Plus raffle tickets will be available for the Legion’s Meat Shoot coming up November 1st. Carry outs also available.
