(OLNEY) The City of Olney Water Department will today be switching the disinfectant in its water distribution system from free chlorine to chloramine, the normal disinfectant used by the City of Olney through much of the year. The free chlorine was used over the past few weeks in conjunction with the biannual hydrant flushing program. The water customers of Olney may notice a change in the taste of the water until all the free chlorine is out of the water lines. The City of Olney and the Water Department appreciates the patience of all.
