(CHAMPAIGN) The University of Illinois Extension and the Illinois Department of Agriculture will host seven in-person Certified Livestock Manager Training (CLMT) workshops across the state in February 2026. While each of the workshops will fulfill the training requirements that are outlined in the Illinois Livestock Management Facilities Act for livestock managers, each of the training sessions will begin at 9:00 and last at least 3.5 hours, all to be followed by an exam administered by the IDOA. Pre-registration is required online at go.illinois.edu/CLMT. The two downstate sessions are February 3rd in Effingham and February 4th in Breese. The other sessions will be held in Pittsfield, Bloomington, Freeport, Sycamore, and Monmouth. If livestock managers cannot attend in person, online training and testing are available year-round.
